Naturjuwel Feldmühle is a beautiful piece of untouched floodplain landscape between the Traisen river and the Mühlbach, just north of Ratzersdorfer See. It is home for a big diversity of flora and fauna, including meadow flowers, reed and cattail, a variety of trees, frogs, newts, beetles, butterflies and 67 different species of birds. The neighboring area of the Viehofner Lakes is a habitat for rare birds and 15 different dragonfly species and a large recreational space.
Startin on July 25th and for four weeks following the lead of us Nature Guides, a big group of kids and teens is going to explore this amazing location for an incredible outdoor adventure: an exciting chance to reconcile with nature and learn about it with an hands-on approach.
And as usual we will make it FUN!
THE PROGRAM
Our camp focuses on the concept of ecosystem and its components. What is an ecosystem? How do the elements interact with each other? Our students will learn about nature through observation, fun games and creative activities.
In the mornings it’s always time for adventure - we go out in the wilderness and explore. Afternoons are reserved for nature journaling, followed by leisurely activities at the lake, while in the evening we have a lot of fun activities on campus, like bush crafting or camp fire. We finish the week with an exceptional unique Treasure Hunt challenge.
